Spermidine, a natural compound found in various foods, has been shown to be a key player in activating autophagy. This "self-cleaning" of cells enables our body to remove damaged components. It is found in every cell of the body and plays an important role in the overall cellular activity of proteins as well as the function of mitochondria and cardiomyocytes (heart muscle cells).
Wheat germ is the best source of spermidine, of which this product contains approx. 550 mg/kg due to the particularly gentle processing (this is twice as much as is listed in normally obtained wheat germ).
The most valuable part of the wheat grain is the germ - it makes up only 0.2% of the wheat grain, but contains most of the vital substances. This spermidine powder consists of 250g of fine wheat germ - the germ and thus the quintessence of 125 kg of wheat. Thanks to the particularly gentle production process, important ingredients are retained, including a wealth of other vitamins and trace elements. These include vitamins B1, B2, B6, folic acid, biotin, as well as zinc, magnesium and phosphorus. The protein content is also very high at 32%.
Preparation: Eat 1-2 tablespoons in the morning and evening, e.g. in yoghurt, quark, muesli or on its own.
