New product with GG (Geranylgeraniol) from Bixa orellana -

Please take a look at our new productt GG+T3 ORELLANA

It's a plant extract from Bixa orellana (= Annatto) which contains GG (Geranylgeraniol) and Tocotrienols.

What is Geranylgeraniol (GG)? It's a fundamental substance in our body, which can make it itself from food. But this self-synthesis goes down with aging and some medicaments (statins and bisphosphonats).

This provides an explanation why some body functions deteriorate with aging (and this medicaments).

  • performance of muscles and brain
  • loss of muscle mass
  • less steroid hormones
  • less bone density

The explanation is, that this GG is used for making CoQ10, muscle protein, steroid hormones and vitamin K2 (from K1).

But we can compensate by eating GG occuring in food. Olive oil by example has some 2 mg per 100 ml. But Annatto has it hundred-fold. So, an extract from Annatto can easily provide the adequate 150 mg to 300 mg of GG.

To learn more about GG, I'd recommend to take a look at a video from Dr. Barrie Tan (he's the pioneer who brought us the tocotrienols).

Here's the video:

The begin is about Tocotrienols, here's a link directely to minute 31:09 , the part about GG (Geranylgeraniol).

Our new product also contains lots of trocotrienols (~10 mg per drop). Why? It's a plant extract, and the plant contains both, GG and tocotrienols. Both are smart options to combat aging.

Let's take a look at the medicaments mentioned: statins and bisphosphonates.

Statins are cholesterol drugs. They lower cholesterol synthesis. However, as they do block GG as well, they block CoQ10 and muscle protein synthesis. The reason for fatique and muscle problems with statins. Therefore in the US is's mandatory to supplement CoQ10 when prescribing statins. However it's better to use GG instead of CoQ10. Because it's more efficient to bring up CoQ10 as even oral CoQ10 itself (mentioned in this study) . And of course it helps with other side effects like muscles.

Bisphosphonats are potent medicaments to prevent osteoporisis (loss of bone density). It works by preventing bone degradation by osteoclasts. It's funny, that at the same time bisphosphonates block vitamin K2 (MK4) wich is necessary to build up bone. Therefore bisphosphonates should be given only with vitamin K2. Or GG. Particularly if we care about CoQ10, muscles, hormones as well.
